FMNP Teacher Scholarship

The Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) Teacher Scholarship is available to certified Florida teachers who are currently employed by a public or private K-12 school. Scholarships awarded will cover the entire cost of one FMNP core module or special topics course. Scholarships are awarded semi-annually based on region, applicant statement of your interest in FMNP, and letter of recommendation. The number of scholarships awarded each year will be dependent on funding.

The Steve A. Gaul Master Naturalist Program/ FANREP Memorial Scholarship

Steve Gaul served as the Natural Resources and Agriculture Extension Agent in Nassau County for six years. He was a regular instructor of the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) and thoroughly enjoyed teaching others about Florida's natural environments. Steven was also an active member of the Florida Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals (FANREP), and briefly served as its president before his untimely death in 2012. To honor his memory FANREP and the Florida Master Naturalist Program jointly established this scholarship to provide a Florida educator the opportunity to participate in the Florida Master Naturalist Program and expand his/her appreciation and knowledge of Florida's natural environments.
